The portion estimation in our app is based on 3D analysis. When this calculation is unsuccessful we use our standard portion sizes instead. Please find below a list of reasons why the calculation can be unsuccessful:
To get the best results, plate your food and have it on a table to get the most accurate estimates. We recommend recording your meal holding your smartphone parallel to the table about 30cm (1 foot) above the plate. When possible, remove napkins or cutlery from the plate beforehand.
